The GROW Scholarship Program is at the heart of GROW's mission.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, GROW exists to cultivate the next generation of green leaders by investing in education, opportunity, and community. Through our scholarship program, we support individuals who are passionate about plants and committed to making a positive impact through education, innovation, leadership, research, entrepreneurship, conservation, and community involvement.
Every ticket purchased, vendor booth reserved, sponsorship secured, and community partnership helps make these scholarships possible.

Scholarship Awards
GROW will award three $1,000 scholarships to applicants who demonstrate passion, purpose, and a commitment to growing the future of the plant community.
Recipients will be recognized during the GROW Expo Closing Ceremony on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at The Berry Center in Cypress, Texas.
Who Can Apply?
The GROW Scholarship Program is open to individuals pursuing any field of study who have a genuine passion for plants and a desire to make a meaningful impact within the plant community.
At GROW, we believe the future of the plant community depends on people with diverse talents and perspectives. Whether your educational goals are in engineering, business, education, healthcare, environmental science, horticulture, agriculture, art, communications, or another discipline, we encourage you to apply if plants have played a meaningful role in your life.
We define green leaders as individuals who use their education, skills, and passion to advance, support, or strengthen the plant community through innovation, research, conservation, entrepreneurship, education, advocacy, or community involvement.
Eligibility
Applicants must:

Be pursuing post-secondary education, trade school, certification, or professional development.

Demonstrate a genuine passion for plants and the plant community.

Submit a complete application by September 18, 2026.

Agree to the scholarship terms and conditions.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit the following materials by September 18, 2026.
1. Scholarship Application
Complete the online scholarship application in its entirety.
2. Personal Narrative
Submit a personal narrative of up to 750 words describing:

Your passion for plants and the green industry.
-
Your educational and career goals.
-
How receiving the GROW Scholarship will help you achieve those goals.
-
The impact you hope to make within your community or the plant community.
3. Video Submission
Submit a 30- to 60-second video introducing yourself and sharing:

Who you are.
-
Your passion for plants.
-
What receiving the GROW Scholarship would mean to you.
A professionally produced video is not expected. A clear, authentic recording using a smartphone is perfectly acceptable.
4. Resume
Upload a current resume highlighting your education, work experience, volunteer service, leadership activities, extracurricular involvement, and any plant-related experience.
5. Unofficial Transcript
Upload your most recent unofficial high school, college, or trade school transcript.
Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed by the GROW Scholarship Committee.
Recipients will be selected based on:

Passion for the plant community.

Educational and career goals.
-
Leadership and community involvement.
-
Demonstrated commitment to making a positive impact within the plant community.

Alignment with GROW's mission.
-
Quality of the personal narrative.

Quality of the video submission.
Following the review process, the committee will select 10 finalists, from which three recipients will each receive a $1,000 scholarship.

Scholarship funds may be used toward educational expenses, including:
